*reads previous post again*

You know what? Even though I woke up bright and early as always, took the same bus like usual, I still got to school about half an hour late... Why? 'Cos I overslept on the bus and overshot till who-knows-where... A first in my 4 years of taking that bus... Anyway, I'm somewhat convinced that I would've reached school earlier if I had a better sense of direction... The road that my bus was plying is a one-way road, so I got off the bus and walked around looking for the road where it would go the opposite direction... And guess what? I got kinda lost and by the time I reached a bus stop in the correct direction, I had walked about 20 minutes... That's not all, apparently, that bus I took didn't go to that bus stop too... Thank goodness there were other buses to school... To be precise, there was only one other bus available there... Anyway, in total, it took me about an hour to reach school that day... But I guess it was kinda fun to walk around an alien neighbourhood and watch the place bustling with life and activities you usually won't see ('cos you're already in school, duh)... Haha... Oh yeah, and I need to thank the few people who gave me directions, even though I don't know who they are (this concerned auntie even asked whether I'd be late since the bus stop I wanted to get to was a long walk away), because if not for them, I'd probably walk into class during the last period or something like that... (^^)'''

And, the oral... Hmmm... I think I didn't do badly, but I didn't do especially well either, so the marks should be around those of my Prelim's... Which weren't fantastic...

And I was absent for the first time in school this year on Friday... Down with throat infection and flu... Which was surprising since I went to the doctor's on Thursday hoping just to get relief from flu, and the 'slight discomfort' at the back of my throat... Kinda alarmed, even, when the doc immediately issued an MC... Haha... So anyway, I spent my Friday sleeping at home... And then found out in the afternoon that a grand total of 9 people were absent from the class of 29 that day... Whoa, yeah...

Some random and not-so-random pictures:

My medicine, which made my life easier, but had me nearly choking every time when I attempt to swallow them... Grrrr...

A photo of lines of flags hanging from a HDB flat that I took while standing underneath them... Not sure why, but when I stood there, I suddenly felt that the sky is so bigandhighandemptyandbeautiful... Helps that a soothing breeze was blowing... Haha...

Real-time bus information panel at a certain bus stop on my way to piano lesson on Saturday... I was initially in awe of the new device (?), until I found out that my bus would only arrive more than 10 minutes later... That made me panic 'cos it meant that I'd definitely be late... AAnndddd, my bus arrived about 1 minute later... So the infomation is very inaccurate... But this project's just started, so technical 'gliches' like this would be expected... Hopefully, this very major problem will be solved soon... If not, it would just defeat the very purpose of having a real-time info panel there...

Yesterday was National Day. Tanya and Poh Sin came to my house and we did amaths together. Then they went home, and my mother decided go shopping with me and my sister. I bought 2 blouses and a pair of slippers. And when I reached home, NDP had already ended. So I took a shower and sat in front of the TV watching animania (feeling a bit lost, cos this's the first time in ages I'm watching it), unpicking the labels from my newly-bought clothes. Until midnight, and then I went to bed.

That's all I did.

And the worst thing is, we only finished Paper 1 of ONE amaths paper... Sigh...

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

Somehow seems to be true to a extent huh...

Anyway, I missed out a few 'major' events in the last post... I shall just list them out:

  • I fell down during a certain jogging session and kinda grazed my knee... Not sure what happened, but I definitely didn't slip on a banana peel this time... Seeing my knees covered in an assortment of plasters got me quite a bit of attention though... Haha... Thanks for all your concern! They're healing quite well!
  • My 'O's melody writing coursework is over! But I seriously screwed the whole thing up... Oh well... Could've been worst...
  • The way we formed a 'human train' and ran a whole round around the hall after the official NDP celebrations when they played 'Will You' in school-- so FUN!! I bet everyone nearly tripped over the carpet though... Haha... Even though we pulled out of Colours aka Buzz @ Canteen, as Swee Jin says "it's still our song"... Poor me couldn't go out with anyone after that because I had a sort of 'make-up' music lesson... And I finally got a double-digit figure for my Haydn section! But I still failed that part, although I passed overall... Nevermind... Next time then...
Obviously more than what's mentioned above happened, but I can't recall anything else now... So today, I went to Tanya's house to do Chem... BUT, I took Bus 24 instead of 22 and ended up at Changi Airport... (^^)''' Baka me... Haha... Anyway, I eventually arrived at Tanya's place, half-dead from all the time spent on the bus... We did a bit of Chem (and she kept disturbing her poor cat at almost regular intervals), finished Paper 1, and then fooled around a bit... I tried rollerblading with her skates (gave up, returned them after one round down the corridor), played with her flute (handed it over after I managed a decent sound out), and then her guitar (lasted about 4 chords and whole lot of random notes)... Anyway, I found out today that she has a trumpet, trombone, baritone, saxophone and flute at home BUT she joined clarinet in band... Voosh... Shan't comment...

Ooooh, and the Japanese version of Hana Kimi (Hanazakari no Kimitachi e) is out! Seems rather good, but I haven't really watched anything yet... Positive reviews from my sis and cousin... Haha...

Urgh... My homeworks' piling up... Can't finish them, and more are coming in...

Oops... I've neglected this blog for one whole month... Hmmm... How should I put it... I've basically been sacrificing my online time for homework... I really hate the way it is now, but I've absolutely no idea how else to go about finishing my homework, and also, revise... 19 days to prelims...

*shudders*

*looks and shudders again*

Right... From where I left off in the last post...

Kelly's handiwork!

I think this one is especially cute, so... A closeup!!

If only I can knit like that... No, if only I can even knit... Anyway, change in seating arrangement again, so "partner Kelly" has become "ex-partner Kelly"... Boo... It's kinda weird to hear her from the back, instead of from the side... Anyway, my new parter is Varruna, bickering-huusband-and-wife pair Tanya and Swee Jin are up in front, and Gillian and Germaine behind... I'm now right smack in the middle of the class, a few teachers' favourite haunt... But I chose it because I figured I'd concentrate and learn better in class... Kinda right, but it isn't enjoyable at times... Guess I can't do anything about that...

So, I finished Harry Potter 7 in about 8 hours... BUT I still lost the challenge to stupid Dong, who managed to read it in 7 hours... I have to say the story's pretty enjoyable, but too many events happened one after another and it was too dark for my liking... I guess the first is still the best... As always... But I'll recommend it 'cos it's better than book 5 and 6... But I can't believe JK Rowling killed off-- So many people... Ok, I won't include any spoilers, but I'm not that happy over the death of one of my favourite characters... Okay, okay, that's all I'm gonna say...

Uh-oh... Running late for the music lesson... I shall continue later...
Timecheck-[12:14]

I'm... BACK!! Timecheck- [15:56]

Ok, more about the two seated in front... They're noisy, almost always arguing over something trivial, but, you can't find a better match anywhere else... And they're weird people... How so? This:

"I MUST NOT TELL LIES", written with Swee Jin's own blood, on her own hand... If I accidentally poked my finger with something sharp, and the wound starts bleeding, the first thing I'd do is use a piece of tissue to clean up and pinch the finger hard to stop the bleeding... What did she do? Start writing that memorable line from the Order of the Phoenix on the back of her hand, and squeeze out some more of the blood to finish that sentence... Oh. My. God. And what did Tanya do? She laughed, because she found it very funny... Okay, I know nobody will die from losing that minute amount of blood, but still...

Next up, Racial Harmony Day:

That's Tanya and me in our Punjabi suits... She's wearing her own, and I'm wearing the one Divya
(Thanks for both the costume and the brooch thing!) lent to me... Picture taken by Sandra (Thanks too!), with Xin Yin and Miss Begam at the background (purely unintentional!)... Notice how I'm nearly as tall as Tanya? It wasn't a full body shot for a reason, you know... I was on tiptoe... (^^)''' Final desperate attempt to look tall... Haha...

Some random stuff--

My current wallpaper (in use since 280707)

Been feeling rather down lately, so maybe you can tell a person's mood from her desktop wallpaper? That's a Hallow mask from Bleach, by the way...

My sis's milk carton solar car:

The only cool thing about it is the solar panel... And the fact that it actually works... If it doesn't, though, you can always cheat and insert a battery... Haha... Sigh... Why is it that we don't get this kind of workshops in school...

An interesting shophouse near my piano teacher's house where the backdoor is located on the second storey... I just found it amusing, nothing much...
Haha...

And I thought I'd just share with you my latest J-craze- Burimyu:

Their rendition of the song Bengara Koushi, composed after the Japanese Classics... Obviously, the whole musical isn't like that... This is just one song inserted at the end of the actual play for comic effect/entertainment... Haha... By the way, burimyu is 'Bleach Musical'... Yes, there's a musical for Bleach too...

Anyway, take note of the guy with the spiky white/silver hair (Playing Hitsugaya Toushirou) who keeps popping in and out of the trapdoor... The actor's name is Nagayama Takashi... He's cute, can act well, has an unbelievable sense of humour, great voice, sings and dances well, very athletic (karate background), does calligraphy, and apparantly, has no difficulties being a girl if he wants to-- introducing Nagayama Ta-ka-ko!

I nearly died when I saw this... Haha... I'm not sure whether I should be in awe of his talent and looks, or be digusted and uneasy at his shot at crossdressing... Oh well, I guess I shall stick with being amused then... Haha (^^)v

EDIT: That still's taken from Nagayan's 'ON' Idol DVD, btw... ^^
