SEVERELY sunburnt

Do you know that even your scalp can get sunburnt? So in addition to my already sunburnt nose, cheeks and forehead, NOW my scalp is on fire~~ According to the people who could see (most people, actually), the scalp near the front of my head is reddish-pink. Oh great. And it hurts, okay~ い-いたい！

I'm still trying to recognise teachers, find my way to toilets in the school compound and adapting to the school culture of my new school, but I think everything's going just fine for now. Except my subject combination-- how could they not offer Computer Studies anymore when it's still stated as a subject on the JAE booklet, school website?? (ToT)

Anyway, I had a huge quarrel with my mother this morning. Come to think about it, it's the biggest one I had since forever, since I usually just shrug off everything. But I think this time, she's being too unreasonable. I'm still in the Cold War phase, and we'll how this turns out. Of course, being me, I cried just about the whole morning~

Oh yeah, Orientation was fun, I mean, as fun as it could get in an unfamiliar place, getting dirty (in STARCH, not MUD, thank goodness~), hangling around with people you don't really know, and not being able to dance the Mass Dance properly 'cos practising during random hours in 2 days are just not enough. Glad I was there, though~ ^^

Day 1 of JAE

I'm still feeling quite stupid now, 'cos I still can't believe I only realise today that you can't get any radio signals on the MRT along the NS line (which is mainly underground). Oh gggggoooosssshhh. Why didn't I think of that earlier?? *extremely traumatised*

So anyway, I woke up super early (5am) today, and took the MRT to my new school-- there's actually a direct bus I can take, but I'm sure I'll fall asleep and overshoot, so I didn't dare to take the bus in the morning. And I reached the Buona Vista station at about 7:10, which was the time I used to leave home to get to NY on time. (--)'''

I basically spent the whole morning, till about 1:10pm (when we were released) in the school hall listening to all kinds of talks and briefings. I have absolutely no desire to experience that ever again. Orientation starts tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have fun then. But flag raising is so cool! I mean, the choir members are fabulous! The harmonising sounded so beautiful that I was focusing more on the notes instead of the actual words they were singing. Utterly impressed~

I took the bus home in the afternoon, and true enough, I fell asleep. Thank goodness I woke up before I was supposed to alight. But it kinda show hows far I have to travel; to sleep and then wake up on the same bus ride. (--)

美好的一天

Today... Is most probably my last day at NYJC. That, whether it's true or not, will be known tomorrow, when the JAE posting results come out.

BUT today's the perfectest day I can ever wish for~ Okay, minus the part where I had breakfast and lunch at MacDonald's. But honestly, it was nearly surreal, today. Nearly the whole seminar group skipped Maths tutorial and lecture, didn't go for Geog lecture, just sat in the library and chitchat, went crazy in front of the camera, went out for lunch, played like little tykes at the playground and during PE, attending only Lit lessons the entire day... We were so happy, yet so sad, 'cos for some of us, we'd not step into the school compound again after we step out of it today... So this is what is known as bittersweet, huh.

Towards the end of the day, when people started leaving, I could feel tears swelling in my eyes. Control, control~ After PE, when I were the one leaving, the tears threatened to flood out. Control, control~ I made it out of the school gate, to the bus stop, up the bus and inside the bus, tearless. But when I was about to alight from the bus, Tiak Hui said to me, "If you don't cry when you get down this bus, I will never forgive you." Obviously, she didn't mean it. BUT, you know what, somehow, the control button finally jammed up, and when the bus sped off, I cried, for real. Must have looked pathetic to the passer-bys...

So guys, I just wanna let you know, thanks for everything; today, yesterday-- Nah, in fact, everything you people have done for me for the past 6 weeks--

I think I'll continue with this tomorrow~

Alone on Valentine's Day... NOT!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! ♥



And the surprise of this Valentine's Day is... From my Angel!!



We were playing the Angel/Mortal last week, so boxes were set up at the atrium for us to leave our Angels or Mortals letters, presents etc etc. When I got to the boxes on Thursday (Valentine's Day, in case you've short-term memory, like me), it didn't take me long to notice that there was a lone rose poking out of my OG's "To Mortals" box. Who's the lucky fella, I wondered. I bent down, and, to my surprise, it was addressed to me!! Stuck to the rose was a letter, folded such that 2 Ferrero Rochers were snugly fitted in it.

The game has since ended, so in the photo above are what I got from my Angel, whom I still don't know who he is, other than his name. So, to my Angel: Thank you for giving me my first rose on this Valentine's Day, for the surprise and thrill the whole thing gave me! It was fun exchanging letters with you, although I still think you cheated by asking a girl to write the 1st letter for you~ (--)''' Hope to see you in person one day!

Cloudy

I feel almost depressed now~ Okay, not really depressed, but something near that. And I very nearly blew my top just now when I realised my father was using his mobile phone to take a video of me playing the piano. Nothing much.

I woke up this morning not really feeling great, a bit on the 'minus' side, but not exactly very moody. But it seemed that as the day passed by, more dark clouds started accumulating and, by the time I left school, my sky was overcast. School was like normal today, completed with all the crazy antics of the people around me and the usual boring lectures. So why I am feeling like this?

I think I'd better not mingle too much with everyone else to until my dark clouds disperse and some kind of feeble rays from my sun start to filter through. Shouldn't be that long anyway. Until then, I just continue with Bleach.

And I just finished up my portion of the crappy GP project~

All this aside, I got into contact with a primary school friend through LJ!!! WOOHOO~ ♪

新年快乐！！

Yay! Yinxue is THE ONE!! Congrats!
Went to see the doctor this morning, 'cos apparently my throat hasn't fully recovered yet-- more antibiotics [that stupid 5 pills alone cost me $35 (T.T)]

虽然觉得庆祝农历新年一年比一年没有…意义（！），但是我一年内只是那么一次和全部的亲戚聚集——这就是个足够的理由庆祝新年了。

在此祝贺大家心想事成，万事如意，身体健康，年年有余！

Annnnnddddddd, I'm nearly back to normal today! Fever's gone! Body aches' gone! And my sore throat is much, much better! YAY (^^)v All thanks to all the colourful pills my doctor prescribed~ ♥

Although I'm not really a big fan of L, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE!! Check out the um, official english site(?) here. 18 more days!!!
