Phew! Long time no blog! Haha... 'Cos of some *ahem* problems (my newly-installed firewall basically bprotected me from accessing the internet initially) and also I didn't really have time to go online...

But so much interesting stuff happened since I last blogged... So I shall start from last Saturday!

Saturday, February 10

The first time I participated in Flag Day... And if I can help it, the last... The whole class (who were present that day) alighted at Orchard MRT Station but went in groups or pairs to different parts of Orchard... Me, Germaine and Varruna started at the entrance of the station... But after awhile, we moved inside, standing outside the, erm, doors of the actual MRT 'area'... Then I wandered off to the passage/tunnel linking the station to outside... Yeah... We spent hours there.... Oh man... That day was the first time in my life so many people ignored me or avoided me... There was an area of about 1m of empty space around me the whole time... People would try to walk around me, behind me etc... Most commuters pretty much pretended that I wasn't there... What this lady told me when she dropped coins into my tin can during a particularly horrendous hour summed up everything: "So many people around, but nobody sees you huh"... YYYeeeeesssssssss! I think I'll go nuts if I do this every single day... I know they've been bugged by students wherever they go... But really, they could've declined or just acknowledge my existance with a nod, shake or smile... I wounldn't mind that... But not everone's like that... Some donated when I approached... Others came up to me themselves... Most donated for the charity (though only a few asked what they're donating for) but I've got this weird feeling that a small handful donated 'cos they pitied me... For example, there's this man with greying hair, who's been watching me from quite a distance away since I parked myself at that particular spot, suddenly came up to me after like 45 mins, dropped a handful of coins into the can, smile, patted my shoulder and walked away... Yeah, I was a bit shocked... But somehow felt more encouraged... But it was very, very tiring... so we switched place, to this area outside some high-end 'shops' with a fabulous, big carpark... It was more relaxing, more breezy, less suffocating than the previous location... And less human traffic... But I was worn out so I rooted myself to a spot and didn't walk around... In terms of %, I think more people donated... Maybe 'cos we're the first ones they see... So I was taking it easy when I heard somebody practically scream my name from behind me... I wheeled around-- lo and behold, it was my juniors! Such coincidence, no? A lot more funny stuff happened, but I think if I continue to ramble on, I won't be able to finish this... So moving on--

Sunday, February 11
I checked my inbox and saw the email informing me that I'vr been selected for the CBT of Granado Espada!!! WOOTS!!!

Monday, February 12
For the first time in this 4 years, I was late for school... Technically... 'Cos the bus broke down and we were excused... Fortunately... 测验(一)during the first period, right after I rushed up to class... (**)''' Oh and we went for SYF rehearsal in SCH... Its the first time I saw Miss Sia in a few months and she made me (and the entire section) blow my/our lungs our... But I think we played quite ok... Hui Min gave me a lift home from school and I managed to reach home at about 10... Feeling dead...

Tuesday, February 13
Geog Test (TT)

Wednesday, February 14
Valentine's Day!!! Thanks to everyone who gave me something! You know, I was thinking that nowadays, saying "I don't celebrate Valentine's Day because I love him/her every single day" or something along that line is as cliche as specially taking time to celebrate Valentine's with him/her... Don't know why, but it just is...

Thursday, February 15
EL timed assignment during EL period... And Harmony Test and I missed the final CNY rehearsal...

Friday, February 16
CNY celebrations in school! 4C performed and I'm happy to say many found our skit very funny! Yay! Extra credits to Bao Hui and Wei Ting... They really, really did alot alot alot to make the skit successful... *applause* Anyway, went to pick up the Granado Esapada game client at Hougang Mall with Hui Min after school... Whoopi! Then we went to shop for t-shirts that're not dark-coloured and suits Hui Min's taste... Finally found 2 at Bugis... Very rewarding experience... Haha... Glad she liked them...

And finally, TODAY
Went to the temple at Toa Payoh this morning... Weird how it's so hot outside but so cool inside... Sadly, it also fell to commercialism and one corner which used to house a big fugurine of a deity has been renovated into a shop selling titbits... A pity, really... Considering the temple to be nearly a hundred (or even more)... Had reunion dinner... Same as last year, and the year before that... But quite nice all the same... And I recieved this sweet SMS from an old friend, ex-classmate:
难忘的是你我纯洁的友情,可贵的是永远不变的真情,高兴与你今生有缘,献上我最温馨的祝福,祝你新年愉快
I don't know how many people got this particular SMS, but it sounded sincere, all the more so considering that we haven't really kept close contact for the past few months...

Oh yeah, got an A2 for my O level Chinese... Not exactly happy but it could be worse... So I'm pretty much ok with it...

What a long post! I shall end now--
小女子在此祝贺大家新年快乐,心想事成!
Happy Chinese New Year!
