It's downright weird... Ok, maybe not so... More like nostalgic actually...

Picture this--

After Bio remedial, I was walking to the bus stop myself... Halfway through, when I was just outside the the gate of the primary school, lots primary school pupils suddenly spilled out from within the compound... Checked my watch- 3:30-and realised that that's the usual time remedial and CCAs end in primary school...

I walked on, amidst the chatter... Once out of the school gate, some boys immediately dashed for the school bus... Other pupils walked calmly towards it but talked very animatedly ... Others turned and headed for the bus stop... Over the din, I heard, to my utter amusement, the cute, often-used-in-primary-school phrase: "If you make me again you like Tabita!!" I turned and saw two boys pouting at each other...

Haha... That brought back a whole chunk of memories... Adorable, weren't we... Such a scary threat... "If you [name of action] me again, you like/love [name of classmate of the opposite gender]!"

Anyway I walked on... This time, coming from directly behind me: "You don't believe I can run faster than you?" And then without any warning, a whole drove of boys dashed at top speed past me... Quite similar to what memories I had of my primary school fun... Haha...

Then as I approached the traffic lights, a very, very familiar scene loomed in front of me: A girl was chasing a boy around the traffic light post, her water bottle held in one head, ready to strike... After about 2 more rounds, the boy went, "Ok, ok, sorry, won't do again" and walked off gleefully... And the girl? With a "I've won" triumphant look on her face, she spun round and crossed the road... 0OoOps... I saw this kind of scene happening about 4 times a day when I was still in my co-ed primary school... =]

Then I realised that all these stuff happened to me 3 to 5 years ago... So much time passed in the blink of an eye huh...

Yay! Finally, my blog is up again!

I only realised that my blog was blank yesterday when I went to check after making the last post... And the worse thing is that I don't even know when it was down... Poh Sin tagged on the 17th so it was ok then... I went to have a look on the 18th and it was still ok... So when did it come down? Hmmm... Oh, and the worst thing is that there's a grand total of 6 people who visited my blog from the 18th till today morning... Urgh... Sorry about that... I didn't have time to fix it yesterday night...

Anyway, I'm not surprised that something like that happened... 'Cos I'm always fiddling around with the template codes and adding stuff that I thought were interesting... Must have accidentally deleted something important in the process...

Speaking of interesting blog add-ons, I had to remove 2 of them 'cos they just don't match the new blogskin... Firstly, this cool digital clock look-a-like that I now have no idea where to get it from and what it's called (but I'll try to find out soon)... Next is the cute cat that used to sit on the top left hand side of my blog and if you click it, it'll follow your mouse no matter where it is... Haha... That one can be gotten from here...

I think that's about all for today... I shan't talk about school, cos like Tanya said, I was pretty dead the whole day... Yup~

It was rain and shine (at the same time) on Friday...

Then yesterday, it was basically raining elephants and giraffes when I came home from piano lesson... I was holding an umbrella yet I was wet up till my knees... Grrr...

Today was somewhat dry and cool... But then again, I didn't really step out of the house...

Hopefully, it'd be rain tomorrow... Heehee...

Anyway, I just finished reading a translation of Jihaku [Confessions] by Gackt, translated by Gerald Terrant, here... After realising that more than one of the pple around me find him/his songs great, reading up a bit about him, watching a few MVs on Youtube and listening to some songs on Radioblog, I just had to read his autobiography... Kinda drawn by his eccentric and unpredictable behaviour... And his pretty face... Haha... But anyway, the autobiography is rather readable, and does give some insight to his behaviour and childhood... But will seem absolutely rubbishy to non-fans... [read: I am a fan (^^)v]

Okay, I really should be finishing up with homework now... Hectic week up ahead, complete with tests and extra lessons... Haizz...

One more thing: I'm really missing Get Backers now... (T-T)

Felt a need to start from the last post--
Turned out that the 作文 wasn't exactly due the day after('cos there isn't any Chinese period), so I stayed up when I could've gotten the much needed sleep... Hmph... And the Chem test was postponed to today... 0_o

Anyway, I realised yesterday during combined band prac that different conductors bring out different, how-should-I-put-it, musical sides of the poeple they're conducting... Let me explain... We have 2 conductors, totally different in every aspect I can think of... When both conduct the same pieces, somehow, we, as the people playing the instruments, respond differently ( as in our playing, not verbal)... Take the SYF pieces, for example... With one conductor, the music we played was more warm, more expressive... With the other, some of these were lost... But we do shine playing more rigid pieces, like marches, under this conductor... Why though? Is it because we are more scared of one than the other? Or do we not take one of them as seriously as the other? Or is their conducting styles different, therefore affecting us? Or could it be their personalities?? I wonder...

Listening to a Farenheit album Wanyan lent... Not very impressed yet... Maybe I need to listen to it 1 more time... Oh, and even Hui Min was saying Gackt can really sing... Maybe I should check him out...

Ended up that I didn't go for the Induction Ceremony at all... Down with fever and stomach upset that day... (-_-)''' Definitely not a nice experience... And I've lost 90% of my trust in Chinese Physicians... Urgh...

And why am I still up so late again? 'Cos I've just finished my 作文... And it seems to be very crappy... I don't think I'm exactly in the right frame of mind to write one now... But, hey, what else can I do?? The deadline's tomorrow... Haizz...

Time check: 0023

And it's just Monday--

Oh yeah, and if the Chem test's tmr, I'm seriously d-e-a-d...

I'm exhausted, really tired-- I mean, look at the time...

Anyway, I was shock-awakened by my sister's montrous alarm clock's wailing in the wee hours... Couldn't really sleep after that... So I did my usual morning routine, dilly-dallied, and arrived in school at the usual time... Lesson time-- had PE and Jogging today, so I sweated alot alot... Then ate my lunch during recess... Sat through another few periods of lessons... Rushed to St Nics for music lesson after those... Barely made it on time... Froze there (so much so that my teeth were chattering) 'cos it was raining outside and the air-cons were in perfect working condition... Then had lessons until nearly 7... Arrived home at about 7:40... Ate my dinner, showered, and it was nearly 9... And then I started on my homework... Urgh... Aaaannd, I'm just done printing the Geog MNC thing... (-_-)

Oh, btw, for the first time in my life (so far), I was thankful that I had to wear specs... 'Cos when I took a look at my eyes in the mirror, I realised that I was half a moon away from having panda eyes... Yikes... No suprise though.... Sleeping near midnight and waking up at 5:30 when the sky's still dark for so many days/nights...

SIGH

I wonder how the Induction rehearsal went?

Thus begins the second week of school... The first proper week actually...

Anyway, my sister's been kop-ing the toilet every morning to take a s-h-o-r-t shower ever since school reopened... (-_-)''' Hmphh...

That aside, I'm just gonna complain and complain on in this post... I hate waking up in the morning... And I mean early in the morning... 'Cos that's just not my habit... I'd rather sleep later and wake up later... Somehow it's harder to concentrate in the wee hours... And everything's 10 times worser when it's raining... But that's the school system here, isn't it?? So I don't really have a choice... =[

And there's the change of Music Centre again... It...

For-get it... I shall have my dinner and forget about all these...

Happy New Year!!!

So 2006's gone in a flash huh... The previous post's about what I feel are the highlights of last year... And that's actually quite a lot, once I type them out... Haha...

Anyway, I've watched Death Note: The Last Name!!! Ahhhhhh!! I still can't believe I watched it on the opening day itself!! But really, you should try to catch the movie... There's no cliches whatsoever, and the totally unexpected twists in the plot is just plain thrilling... And L and Misa are pure entertainment with their antics... But provided that you watched the first movie... 'Cos you're gonna be super blur if you don't... Haha...

Looking back at 2006...

New subjects, New class, New friends
Class of 3C'06: we're lazy, not enthu in class, never really managed to hand up all our assignments on time, but hey, at times we really enjoy ourselves!! Haha...

Music Lessons at SNGS
Taking music as a school subject was a dream come true, going SNGS for lessons, which is pretty near my home is a bonus, having a primary school friend studying as well there left me whooping in joy... Haha... That friend's YeeCh(ing), and I met Cong and Kelly there too... I'm going back to Cedar for music lessons next year though... Still, I treasure the times we spent studying, giggling and comparing notes together... Also, I met Germaine[L] as we both chose to take music at SNGS... Thanks for the precious friendship all of you gave!

OAC
6 days 5 nights away from home was a first for me, and so was attending a "boot camp"... But I can't forget the High Elements! Even though I didn't even make it to the half-way mark on mine and had to go to the sick bay because of a splinter in my thumb, I really found it thrilling and worth waiting... But the food, I'm not that sure... The campfire night was really fun though...

Birthday Cake
Another first-- Shahini, Varruna bought me a birthday cake during one of the rehearsals! Sweet of them, right?! It's not like I haven't had a birthday cake before, but them buying one for me-- it was totally unexpected... THANKS!!!

Macbeth play
I think this is the major-est of all the events that happened this year... The whole class was involved in the production and personally, I enjoyed it very much... No doubt, we worked very, very hard, especially us costume peeps-- Bao Hui, Jeralyn, Xin Ying and me... Designing the costumes from scratch, working out the colour palette, borrowing clothes and accessories, buying cloth and sewing, painting some costumes by hand, worrying about deadlines, attending rehearsals-cum-fittings(all of us being part-time actors and part-time costume dept), trying to make sure all the actors have enough time to change their costumes in between scenes... All this in addition to the usual homework, tests and CCA... I remember feeling very exhausted during that period all the time and so close to tears (out of frustration and weariness) sometimes, but boy, I can't deny that I had fun... I think the whole class did too... While OAC didn't really bond the class enough, this one brought us together... The way I see it now, everything was worthwhile... At the end of the day, all the hard work we put in really showed up in our performance... Even though not everything turned out how we wanted them to be, the end result was as close as perfect as we could get... And for that, I'm happy!!

Band Farewell
Something I wasn't able to imagine before Aisyah and Candy left band practices to concentrate on their studies, something I dreaded once they did... Kinda weird, not being able to see them around as much anymore... Thank goodness I didn't get too emotional at the Farewell... It'd be so embarrassing if I did... Haha... But Aisyah, Candy, you two are the best seniors anyone can ask for... Thanks for everything... Really... (^^)

Sinking deeper into J-stuff
I watched more anime, Japanese movies, Japan Hour (yeah, haha... Roll your eyes all you want...), read more manga, listen more to J-pop and J-rock this year compared to previous years... To the point that my mother calls me lip-pun siao ("japan crazy" in Hokkien)... Haha... No problem with that personally, though...

However...

Academic-wise, though, I did badly this year... Failed a subject at EYE for the first time ever in my life... Didn't do well for ABRSM practical too... So for next year, I'm gonna work extra hard for these! Ganbarimasu!

Up next year:

  • Grade 6 Theory ( yeah, I'm horrid when it comes to theory)
  • Band SYF ( towards a Gold we go...)
  • Prelims
  • 'O' Levels
  • Grade 8 piano practical
(-_-)''' That's alot, actually...

Hope you had a happy Christmas 0=]

I've always liked Christmas, even though I don't really celebrate it... I mean, it's kinda hard not to like it when you've got nice, once-a-year Christmas carols playing everywhere, Christmas trees and shimmering deco, presents and a pretty cool weather (though I'll gladly pick snow rather than rainwater anytime)... But it's a pity Christmas is becoming so commercialised... Everyone dashing to exchange presents for the sake of exchanging and nothing else... That's the "spirit of Christmas" huh... Haizz... Well, that's not really up to me to say, is it?

However

Christmas being over means I'm days away from a brand new year... Oh man... Time to reflect... But that can wait till New Year's Eve...

But I'm not very eager to start school now... Haizz... Everbody's feeling the same, I think... 'Cos school term means lessons, homework, tests and exams... Oh yay, I'm so looking forward to it...

That aside, do you know today is Boxing Day? And do you know its origins? My mother thought it was opening up your boxed Christmas presents... Haha... So take a look at this and clear up your doubts...

~2 more days~ (to official opening of Death Note 2: The Last Name)
